Hello all!
I keep putting off this blog post, just for the sake of procrastination. (My entire high school and college career depended on procrastination, so why not this as well)
It seems hard to actually find a place to start in this entire blogging journey, so for the sake of long, drawn out stories about where each of us came from here's a summary:
I'm Suzette. I was born and raised in Tulare, CA. :)
Alex is my husband. He was born and raised in Visalia, CA. :)
We met at the mall in Visalia. (Fancy... I know)
We dated a few-ish years.
Alex proposed at Hume Lake in January 2009.
We married on a beautiful day in November of 2009.
Both of our lives have been less than ideal, however, all of our successes and struggles have certainly made us who we are and have gotten us to this point in our journey through life. And for that, we are thankful.
We made the decision to relocate to Florida for one simple reason: a job.
We will be participating in the Disney College Program at the Walt Disney World resort in Orlando, FL. This program allows us to not only have a full time job in the parks, but also the opportunity to network with thousands of Disney employees. The main goal is for one or both of us to have a full time position by the end of our program.
As our adventure starts and continues, I will be sure to update with what we're doing and some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
I will leave you with some facts about us:
-Alex and I love to take trips to Disneyland. We however do not love ALL things Disney. (So I'm hoping that when/if we return to California from WDW we do not come home with a trailer full of Mickey and Minnie souvenirs)
- Alex has his bachelors in Organizational Leadership. I have my bachelors in Liberal Arts. (Woohoo for us! haha)
- We are selling (just about) EVERYTHING we own before we move to Florida! (Except the kitchen sink... we don't legally own that) So if you're looking for something, just ask... there's a good chance we'll have it (and will give you a good deal)!
-The majority of our families live in the Central Valley. So we won't really know anyone (at least family) in Florida.
-We leave on May 16th, 2011... so see and visit us before we leave!
